Those who would benefit from a large self-storage unit are:
Homeowners who need extra space for seasonal items or large furniture
Business owners who need to store inventory
Commercial storage needs for machinery
Families going through a remodel
Renters moving to a smaller space
These circumstances involve long stretches of time outside of your home, business, or life circumstances that take time. If any of these situations sound familiar to you, and you aren’t sure where to store your stuff, it's time to invest in a large storage unit in North York.
North York self-storage units are large enough to accommodate all your needs, whether you're in the market for commercial storage units or need a better storage solution for household storage. No matter what your storage needs entail, we'll ensure you have the perfect unit for the job!
Knowing the biggest storage units available helps renters narrow down their storage needs and determine how much space they actually need. Sometimes, the biggest storage unit might seem necessary for your storage situation. With so many unit sizes to choose from, it's hard to know if something that big is actually necessary for your needs.
At our storage facility in North York, our biggest storage unit size is 10 x 35. This big unit could fit a furnished 4-6 bedroom house or store items for commercial business owners. Because of its huge depth, an entertainment center, multiple bedroom furniture sets, or commercial equipment can fit easily into a unit of this magnitude.
Feel like the 10 x 35 is too large? No worries, we realize if you own small furniture or have a little less stuff, the 10 x 35 isn't the best solution! Our other large unit sizes include:
10 x 15
10 x 18
10 x 20
10 x 25
10 x 30
These unit sizes are incredibly accommodating and can still fit a large number of items with the greatest ease. If you’re still uncertain about your unit size, read our helpful guide: What Size of Storage Unit is Best for Me?

Organization 101: How to Pack A Large Unit
Now that we've discussed the many options and benefits of large storage in North York, it's time to look at how to pack a storage unit! With all that space, it's essential to have a smart organizational and packing method in place. Otherwise, you'll lose track of your possessions within the storage unit.
When you're moving into a large storage unit in North York, there are a few key things to remember:
Pick Smart Packing Supplies
Large storage units provide the opportunity to use heavy-duty packing supplies. You can ditch the cardboard boxes and wrap your items in bubble wrap or shrink wrap for extra protection!
Label Everything Before moving items into your unit it’s essential to label every box and piece of furniture in storage. That way, you can easily find what you're looking for without searching through the entire unit.
Use The Right Size Boxes When you're packing large items, it's essential to use boxes and moving supplies that are big enough. That way, you won't have to force anything in and risk damaging your belongings.
Utilize Vertical Space There's no need to waste any space when working with large storage units! Be sure to utilize the entire unit by stacking boxes and furniture from floor to ceiling.
Maximize Floor Space If you have large furniture items, it's best to store them in the middle or back of the unit. You can still create walkways or navigatable pathways within your unit.
Color Code Items Take time to color-code items based on their location in your home or office. When you label boxes or bins, have the label in the respective color to know what belongings go where.
Map Out Your Unit Create a map of your unit to leave inside to find the kitchen section, living room decor, or other areas with relative ease.
