No Rent Increases for 365 Days

Too many storage facilities offer outrageously low introductory (teaser) rates, enticing customers to choose their facility, only to increase rent every 3-6 months. Many facilities offer these below market prices, just so they can secure the sale – but don’t actually plan on locking in these rates. These bait and switch tactics end up costing you more money in the long run, and in our eyes, that’s just downright dishonest and unfair.

At Bluebird, we value your dollar and your trust. Part of earning your trust means we keep our prices honest – that’s why we won’t raise your rent for at least 365 days from your move-in date. That’s right, you’ll have the same price for a full year’s worth of storage because that’s exactly what you signed up for! At Bluebird, we believe in being consistent with our pricing so you always know what to expect every month. Also, being upfront about our pricing is the right thing to do! With Bluebird, there’s no dupes, fine print, or miscommunication about pricing – you can count on your rent being consistent for a full 365 days. At Bluebird, we believe that every great relationship starts with honesty, and for us, honesty means providing you with a full month’s value of storage. Many self-storage facilities pull what’s called the ‘four-week sneak’, meaning they charge you on a four-week cycle instead of basing their rates on a full month. This means you’ll end up paying 13 times per year instead of 12 – that’s 8.33% more! At Bluebird, in addition to our locked-in rent prices, we base our rates on a full month’s service, not 28-day billing cycles. Aren’t sure if we’re your perfect match? If you are not completely satisfied within seven days after moving in, we will refund 100% of your rent and administrative fees. Plus, we won’t force you to sign any long-term agreements so that you can up-size or down-size to the unit you need at any time. Here, what you see is what you pay for.

Protecting Your Possessions

Part of our responsibility is to look after your belongings. That’s why every Bluebird property is secured with the right technology, such as cameras, fencing, and passcode protection. In addition to our state-of-the-art security, every facility is brightly lit and well maintained so that you can access your unit, day or night, in total comfort.

Have any items that need additional care and protection? Specific locations have temperature-controlled units or climate-controlled units that offer heating and/or air conditioning, so if you have paintings or furniture or important documents, you can rest assured they’ll stay in excellent condition. Because everyone needs a little extra protection for their belongings, we offer protection plans on all our units, ranging from $5,000 up to $20,000, so you can pick the policy that suits your needs.

Our goal is to make your rental experience comfortable and convenient at Bluebird, so you can spend your time doing what matters.

Don’t have time to see a unit in person? Certain locations have virtual tours that let you explore the facility from the comfort of your home. Nothing provides peace of mind quite like seeing where your belongings will be. Once you’re ready to rent, you can pick up the phone to speak with one of our team members or book your unit using our contact-free rental system online. With Bluebird, you can view, book, and move into your unit on your own time.

We’re not fans either – that’s why when you choose one of our storage facilities, you’ll speak directly to our friendly, local staff, who cares about your storage experience as much as you do! At Bluebird, we believe in making storage a more personal, welcoming experience.

Only Pay for What You Need

At Bluebird Self Storage, you only pay for what you need. When you choose to store at our facilities, you can reserve your unit in advance, but the payment clock only starts when you move in. If you suddenly have to move out halfway through your rental with us, we can prorate your unused days.

Combining Comfort and Convenience

We offer flexible services and amenities to simplify the storage process. Many of our facilities provide covered unloading areas, large elevators, loading docks, and other accessible features that make moving more convenient – just explore our Storage Locator to see which facility has the storage amenities you need most! Once you move in, our staff can even accept mail and packages on your behalf. 

Moving in a hurry? We sell boxes! You can order your boxes, moving, packing, and other valuable supplies ahead of time, and we will have your items ready for curbside pickup at your convenience.

Flexible Hours of Operation

After move-in, you can generally access your unit 7 days a week between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm  (access hours vary by location).

Helping You Build a Better Business

We understand that not all storage unit rentals are for homeowners. Our services are designed to help both homeowners and business owners by providing you with a reliable storage solution. Bluebird offers business boardroom rentals at specific locations, so you can hold a meeting when you’re in-between spaces. Our staff can also accept packages and mail on your behalf and provide individual codes for employees who need access when you’re not there.

Bluebird Cares 

As part of the Bluebird Difference, we strongly believe in supporting local communities through our community involvement program, Bluebird Cares

From this program, one significant partnership we’ve developed is with Shelter Movers, a non-profit organization that provides survivor-centered no cost moving and storage services to women and children who are fleeing violence or abuse. Shelter Movers make moving and storage arrangements on behalf of their clients, so they can live in a safer environment, and begin a new chapter in their life. 

Our team will provide storage units to Shelter Movers across Canada so survivors can house their belongings at absolutely no cost.
